FTC Issues Guidance on Avoiding COVID-19 Scams

The COVID-19 pandemic has created a new opportunity for scammers and con-artists to target the scared and vulnerable – especially seniors. Briefly, be careful:
Don’t respond to offers of free vaccinations – there are no vaccinations available yet
Don’t respond to offers for testing – you’ll likely need to do this through your doctor
Don’t respond to emails, calls or texts about government checks.
